Past several months, Jessica Simpson seemed to be at the crossfire in what was a vicious media attack based on appearances alone. She was severely criticized for gaining some weight and then for trying to make her fans and women in general sees that the number of pounds on the scales did not reflect one’s personality or real beauty. All that is in the past now, but she’s learned a good lesson from it, Jessica explains in a recent interview cited by People.

“I’m very happy. Right now in my life, I’m the most confident I’ve ever been. I can make that statement,” Jessica gushes. “I really believe that somebody should just sit in front of their best friend in the world and have their friend ask any and every question – offensive or not. And whatever it is, answer it. That’s your therapy. Really tackling those issues inside and out,” the star adds when asked about her therapy.

“Yes, it’s been a road of ups and downs, but the star – who has also designed a clothing line called the Jessica Simpson Collection – has worked through issues that previously plagued her. And that’s exactly what Simpson has done to get herself to a good place (and past those mom jeans!). […] Still, she admits she’s not immune to criticism. ‘Of course, I’m a woman!’ she says. ‘But at this point, nothing else can be said about me that could be worse than I have already read’,” People further writes.

We’re shocked to discover that two of the biggest stars in the world might be trying to tame the media beast that’s repeatedly ripped them to shreds. This week, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie all but silenced breakup reports with a series of adorable family outings in, where she’s shooting the thriller “The Tourist” with Johnny Depp.

Now, the New York Post is accusing the mega-famous flames of setting up the “happy family” scenes “like a military operation” in order to prove that everything is just dandy in Jolie-Pitt land. Hey, this seems like a smart strategy to us, especially when it yields pictures of Zahara playfully sticking out her tongue at her dad and Shiloh sporting a kicky, big-eared monkey hat.But not every photo has yielded the supposedly desired solid-as-a-rock story line.

More confusion cropped up on Wednesday when Angelina was captured from an angle that showed a strange muscular outcropping between her chin and ear. Theories on what caused it have run the gamut from face-tightening plastic surgery to Botox to an incubating alien.

A lot of people speculate that British comedian Russell Brand as the ultimate ladies’ man, while Katy Perry never actually struck people as the type that had marriage on her mind. Four months ago, the two started dating and have been almost inseparable ever since. A few days ago, Brand proposed to Katy while vacationing in India and she, of course, said yes, Us Magazine informs.

This imminent engagement has been making the rounds for many weeks now, as some of you may remember. They started when the comedian was snapped by paps on what looked like a shopping spree at Cartier for an engagement ring, with shop assistants telling the media that he was, in fact, looking to purchase a ring and wasn’t just casually window-shopping or accompanying a friend. As per the latest rumor, he finally took that final leap and proposed to the singer.

But for now, nothing about the so-called engagement is official. However, knowing both Katy and Russell’s love of Twitter, which they use to keep their fans and followers up to speed with their personal life, an announcement in this sense should come any minute now.

As Jennifer Lopez is preparing for the release of her latest album, called “Love?,” from which fans have already heard a few tracks. In the January 2010 issue of Allure magazine, the singer openly talks about anything and everything, from how hard it was for her to kick-start her music career to how she’d like husband Marc Anthony to quit smoking. Jennifer says, she wasn’t a wonder child, the kind that just opens her mouth and amazing music comes out. Unlike her husband, she had to work very hard to get where she is now. This means that, in her case, her success of today is 20 percent inspiration and 80 percent perspiration, as the saying goes, and she’s the first to own up to that.

With this amount of fame also came exposure in the media, which translated into her becoming a paparazzi magnet. “It’s a business. Once they stop making money off of you they stop coming around,” Lopez says in relation to being less hassled by paps today, as opposed to a couple of years ago. Speaking of business, “Part of my business is being in shape and looking good. You can’t lie to yourself about it. But I’m not the monster I used to be in the exercise department,” the singer adds.

Fresh off Jennifer Lopez’s “Love?” album, fans have “Fresh Out the Oven,” a dance song introducing the singer’s alter-ego, Lola and “Louboutins,” a song that got even the prestigious designer creating the iconic shoes saying he was proud of being named so many times on it.

Years has passed by since Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston broke up and he chose to move on with his “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” co-star, Angelina Jolie. Aniston says also that she’s long recovered from the failed marriage and has learned her lesson in relationships, but that’s not the story tabloids are saying. The former “Friends” star was coming out of her trailer to do a scene with her co-star, but was hardly able to hold back her tears because it reminded her of her and Brad. Consequently, Jennifer asked for a break of a few moments and went to her trailer to cry her heart out.

Even though Aniston has certainly not lacked suitors over the years – being romantically linked in the media to gorgeous men like Butler, Paul Sculfor and John Mayer –, it seems her heart still belongs to Pitt. Similarly, hanging out with her co-star, Butler, was fun, the spy further says, but it did not help with chasing the blues away. Deep down inside, Jennifer will probably always love Brad and, because of this, she will never stop feeling sorry for breaking up.

A lot of “Twilight” fans would like to have the media attention turned away from the personal lives of the stars to the work they do, tabloids just can’t get enough of the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart dating rumors. Following the snap of the two taken by a fan outside The Hotel Café in Hollywood over the weekend, reports are coming in again as to how much in love the two young actors are, are they? Well, report says that Robert and Kristen have been apart for most of the summer, so meeting again and then getting to spend time together is something they simply can’t get enough of, an unnamed source says. They are very much in love, so much so that they can barely keep their hands off each other when they’re in public, even if they mustn’t do that for a reason the insider fails to mention.

Be that as it may, it’s clear by now that Pattinson-Stewart alleged affair and the kind of media attention it is getting have not dwindled fans’ interest in the vampire film, several movie-oriented publications point out. “Twilight” continues to reign supreme in teens’ (but not only) preferences, and the reaction the latest official “New Moon” trailer got should speak volumes in this sense.

As we all know, it is difficult to choose the best of the best actress or actor of this time. There are so many celebrities our generation has to offer. Well, let’s begin selecting the sexiest lady in the industry. From my own point of view, it would be Megan Fox. Hahaha! I will give her the Best of the Best Awards. I am not expecting that everyone agrees with me. Selection based on sexy body is a subjective matter. Some would say that the award should be given to Scarlett Johansson other may choose a different name, which is based on their perception.

Other than the sexiest, I will choose the most handsome man in the industry today. And, the BoB Awards goes to Daniel Craig, Jason Statham, David Beckham, Johnny Depp, and Orlando Bloom. I choose several guys since I like all of them. Hahaha! Congratulations good looking guys, you take my heart away. I hope hubby would not read this post. I bet many of you have different choices.
