Keep an eye out

All of us are children and as your parents age, it’s natural that they will sometimes become unable to do certain things. But this shouldn’t make you pull the plug on their daily activities; rather you should try to encourage them to remain active. Even if they are older, you should allow your parents to continue doing what they use to do, like walking, cleaning up and shopping just be sure that they use disposable diaper especially if they are suffering from incontinence. There are studies that say that the more active you are as you get older, the longer your life will be. Rather than becoming stagnant by remaining stuck in rocking chair. What you can do instead, is to be aware of what they’re doing and be on the look-out just in case they need assistance. Don’t push that they’re useless or helpless.

It’s also important to pay close attention to their health. The concept of health should start even before the person becomes older. All of us should look into the concept of disease prevention and screening. But if your parents have not had a chance to see a doctor, perhaps its time for you to suggest that they see a geriatrician – a doctor who specializes in the care of older adults. Going to the doctor for a general check-up, especially when your parents reach 60, is a good idea. It’s important to talk about health because we want to prevent the early onset of frailty, but the elderly are more open to the concept of wellness and getting a general check-up for no specific reason rather than telling them maybe we should have checked for dementia.

a calmer baby!

As we may have known it but infant massage gives the baby a sense of security through touch. It’s also a nice, soothing way to spend time with your baby with no real stress. Basically, if the baby is generally healthy, mothers can start infant massage at birth. Start with the chest. Use firm but gentle and slow strokes. Downward strokes are more calming, while upward or fast strokes are stimulating. There is not much pressure in the massage, as the baby grows, you can adjust the strokes. Use baby oil or lotion to help you rub your baby’s little body. Then, put on a nice, comfortable baby clothes afterwards. You will see a calmer baby who sleeps better and has no colic. It also strengthens the relationship between mother and baby.

Being in the outdoor for a long time will eventually lead to several skin blemishes like acne. Dirt will surely find its way to clog in pores that will irritate the skin. However, shopping for the perfect treatments at the stores can be inefficient because most of treatments aren’t available. And, if it is available its retail price will be very expensive. serious business!

Having a family and raising a child is a really serious business. You have to realize that this is a tremendous commitment if you want to do it right. From this point on, your child comes first and you can only be the second most important thing in your child. You have to be emotionally and financially prepared as well. You may have to delay things you want to do. You may have to save money for your child’s needs and education instead of spending on something for yourself.

The most important thing of all, your relationship with your partner should also be mature enough to handle the uncertainties and frustrations of parenting. If everything in a relationship goes wrong the first person that will suffer the most is the child. Based on experience, children who experience family problems will resort to rebellion, thinking that this is the way to get through the difficulties. Especially if they mingle with disturbed peers as well. They may get involved with drugs and alcohol which will soon destroy their life. Only drug rehab or alcohol rehab can help them if they get to dependent with it. But, good parenting could help them avoid drugs or alcohol. Having a complete family and proper guidance will help them keep on track.

My friend and I went to the park to stroll as well as get rid of those excess fats. We have talk to numerous topics from our plans up to golf. He told me about his been playing golf for about 3 months now. After that we decided to go to their house so he can show me his golf equipment. I also got interested so I agree too. Well, for 3 months he already collected several equipments that he uses in his game. I quite envy him for that but, it’s quite a lucrative game and doesn’t fit my lifestyle.

Glimpse of our Economic State!

This phenomenon of the peso being able to buy fewer goods is called inflation. Price increases reduce purchasing power. Inflation happens in all countries; what differs is the inflation rate. In the Philippines, it has been relatively low, about four percent the past year. Problem: Inflation cannot stop. Solution: Income and savings should be growing at a faster rate than inflation. Otherwise, you will feel it more painfully.

It is actually of the US dollar’s weakness that the peso is appreciating. While it is true that the peso improved by about 16% against the dollar last year, the dollar prices of some imported commodities have increased at a much higher rate. For certain agricultural and other locally produced goods, the cost of production and distribution have also gone up higher than the appreciation with peso. Higher gasoline and diesel price, bad weather, and poor logistical infrastructure have caused the increase in product cost. On the other hand, prices of imported goods, particularly manufactured and agricultural commodities from other countries like China, have remained low, or even decreased.

Discover 2 Exotic Fruits!

The first time I heard of passion fruit it was in a books and office supply store, when I was browsing the shelves for thermal labels for my dad’s office. But although we may have heard of this delicious fruit, how many of us tried it first hand? Well, I don’t think so!

Do you heard of star fruit? Well, for for sure you don’t because it is one of the native fruits here in the Philippines. In our dialect it is called “balingbing”. It comes from Southeast Asia, its rich in vitamin C and has a pleasant, citrusy flavor. There’s no need to peel or seed it, it can simply be eaten whole. A word of caution, though if you have problems with your kidneys, stay away from it, as it contains kidney stone-forming oxalic acid. Finally, hands up those of you who eat papaya on a regular basis. Christopher Columbus first called this pair shaped wonder the “fruit of the angels” – and no wonder he was so impressed with its soft, buttery flesh and peppery, edible seeds. One papaya fruit contains about 118 calories, plenty of vitamin C and an enzyme that helps protein digestion and prevents bloating. Add papaya to your daily diet, and enjoy its rich, sweet musky taste with a dash of lemon juice.
