Exercise for Leaner/Slimmer Legs

Lots of women are reluctant to perform leg-strength-training exercises. A common fear is that heavy weights will result in a larger pair of hips and thighs. However, research found that women can develop lean, shapely legs without lifting heavy weights. That lean muscle mass can be enhanced through simple movements utilizing only your body weight.

Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart. Take a large step forward with your right foot. Hold that position as you bend your left knee towards the ground until your right knee forms a 90-degree angle. Hold this position for a second and then return to the starting upright position. Repeat this movement on the opposite side by stepping forward with the left foot. Continue to alternate between legs for 60 seconds.

You can also position yourself in front of a platform or sturdy bench. Place your entire right foot on top of the platform. Exhale and drive your right heel into the platform as you step up with your left foot. Raise your left knee toward your chest then return your left foot to the floor. Repeat for a total of 10 repetitions. Reverse your foot positioning to perform this movement on the opposite side.

mother’s day is coming

Once again mother’s day is coming.

In this country I learned it will be celebrated on the 8th of May. That’s more than a week to go. So, I clearly need to get moving. Delaying the search will likely mean making my mom unhappy. I don’t want to end up empty-handed because mom is such an important person to me.

In that case, I will need to visit Personalcreations.com website. It’s the same place I visited when I bought my sister’s graduation present last March. She was really delighted after receiving the gift. Now, I will be using the website again to purchase my mother’s day gift. They offer truly unique Mother’s Day gifts like birthstone jewelry and family keepsakes that will take any mom’s breath away. I only want to give my mom the things she deserves. That’s why I’m putting great emphasis on the kind of gift to give her.

probably the lack of sleep

There are many causes of dark circles including allergies, fatigue, age, elastin depletion and lack of sleep. I wonder which one causes mine, probably the lack of sleep. But, whatever the cause is; my main goal now is getting rid of it.

It is indeed frustrating and irritating to see dark circles under my eye. No matter how I try to cover it up using concealer, they still look awful. I’m still at the period of experimenting different products as none of those I used seem to work. I also followed different home remedies, but it might take more time before seeing results.

Oh well, I guess the old adage “patience is a virtue” applies on this one. I clearly need to be patient before seeing the results I wanted. At least I have something to look forward.

Getting Sexy Bikini Body in 10 Days

Days 1, 3, 5 and 8

Aerobic exercise such as running, swimming or power walking, raises the metabolism both during and after the activity, making it less likely that calories will be stored around the abdominal area, or anywhere else, as fat.

On days 1, 3, 5, 8, aim to walk, jog, cycle or do an exercise DVD for at least 20 minutes a day. Try to work hard so that you are fairly breathless when you stop. And if you can do that every other day, even better.

Days 2, 6 and 9

Stomach – Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Press your lower back into the floor, tightening your stomach muscles as you put both hands behind your head (don’t pull on your head). Bring your right elbow over to your left knee, and then bring your left elbow over to your right knee, raising your feet slightly and moving your legs in a pedal motion. Breathe normally and keep your knees bent. Repeat for 30-60 seconds.

Bottom – On your hands and knees, contract your abdominal to stabilize your torso, lift one leg up, keeping the knee bent at a 90′ angle, until the flat of the foot is parallel with the ceiling and the leg is lined up with the body. Lower slightly and repeat 10-15 times. Add an ankle weight to make the exercise more challenging and if you can balance, stretch out the opposite arm.

Days 4, 7 and 10 [Read more...]

digging more information

I was able to get off work early yesterday. I’m feeling a little exhausted that’s why I decided to relax early. Good thing I have no boss to deal with. In that case, I got lots of spare time in my hands. I was able to update my blog and surf the web after where I ran across an interesting article. It’s all about Topamax lawsuit. It’s the first time I’ve heard such so I dig more information.

I learned Topamax is an anti-convulsant used to treat epileptic seizures in children and adults, and is also prescribed to prevent migraine headaches. But, the use of it can result in cleft lip or cleft palate – birth defects that occur when the lip or palate fail to completely fuse together. The defect can result in a small, notched lip or in extreme cases, an open groove that extends from the roof of the mouth to the nose.

At O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath, their attorneys understand that your child’s injuries may not be your fault – instead, possibly a dangerous side-effect of Topamax. Their expertise and experience, combined with their highly trained staff, make them uniquely well-equipped to handle even the most complex products liability claims.

can’t help to exhibit a great smile

While looking at the photos in my cellphones taken year 2006, I just can’t help to exhibit a great smile. Seeing my younger siblings five years ago brings back a lot of memories. They used to be so active, irritating and even a pain in the ass. Good thing they grow up to be young fine teenagers especially my fourth and last sibling.

Both of them got their own sense of style already. The days when I do clothes shopping for them are over although I can seldom do that to the youngest. They would prefer to shop for their favorite hip hop clothes. I can’t relate to that so much because I’m not a great fan. At least I know little about it and I still know their sizes. So, I can still give each one of them something when there are occasions. That way they won’t complain over the designs I choose.

Slowing Down for Better Travel Experiences

More important than the fact that slowing down means cheap travel is the fact that when you go slower you discover things you would have missed. While at the hot springs mentioned above, for example, we befriended a Mayan Indian who brought us to an old Pony Express station in the desert hills. It still had parts of the old walls remaining.

He showed us areas where we could find old arrowheads, and we found some. Out in the middle of the desert, he showed us perfectly round holes that had been drilled into the rocks hundreds of years earlier. They were used for water storage. In our van, we followed him to an area where ancient pottery littered the desert, and where gemstones could be found as well.

We wouldn’t have found these things on our own. The experiences were also only possible because we didn’t rush from one park to another, trying to fit as many “sights” into a trip as possible. It may not be a secret that a slow trip can be more interesting, but not many people seem to want to try this more relaxing, slower pace.

Where we stayed a week for $120 in that mountain town, we discovered area waterfalls and secret mountain lakes that only the locals knew about. [Read more...]
