searching for renter’s right

House for Rent signpostWe have been renting for quite some time now, almost a year already. And within that period we already faced several difficulties including the leaks in the roof as well as in the underground pipes. That is really frustrating for me because this is the first time we encounter such damages. And the landlady doesn’t want to hold responsible for the repairs. Our contract doesn’t specify that either.

In an effort to find my rights as tenants, I came across renters insurance online. This is really something new to me since the only insurance I know is the car, home and health insurance.

Accordingly, this type of insurance helps renters protect personal items. It also provides help with temporary housing and liability protection such as medical expenses for people on your property or a lawyer if you are sued by someone unintentionally injured by you.

This is very interesting information. But, I think I don’t have time to wait until I get this kind of insurance benefits. All I can do now is to look for a new place and transfer as soon as possible even if the contract did not end. For all I know she already violated the contract and I have to save myself from the worries of the leaks.
