route/navigation issues

driving using gpsThinking about buying a car made me realize that I am not good in geography. I am not even familiar to the city I live in almost 30 years. The only routes I recognize are those that I used to cross every now and then. So, why bother buying a car if I can’t leisurely drive myself to places I want to visit.

But, hubby has answers for this. He said that this problem is as simple as counting one, two, and three. With the help of advance gadget, which is the gps or Global Positioning System navigation is no longer an issue. This little gadget provides a set of coordinates which represent the location of the GPS unit with respect to its latitude, longitude and elevation on planet Earth. It also provides time, which is as accurate as that given by an atomic clock.

Hmmm, sounds fun. That means getting lost is no longer the worry. The issue now is when to buy the car. Gps is fairly affordable, a hundred times or more affordable, as compared to the cost of the car. Hehehe! So, that would be the greater issue we are struggling to find an answer.

Getting lost is most of the time the best way to know a city, though it may be stressful. Ovi maps on Nokia is a handy tool and it’s mobile.
