not interested to new phone

Since my birthday is coming, hubby offered to buy me a new cell phone as his birthday gift. His intentions seem pure and loving. Yet, as we scout the mall he is also checking for several phone brands like Samsung, Nokia, and LG for his own. “Got yah darling! You are just making my birthday an excuse to buy something for yourself.”

Actually, he doesn’t like to purchase something for himself, without me buying it as well. He thinks that my birthday is the right timing to change his cell phone. I actually don’t mind it. The only problem is that feel like changing my phone. He is trying to convince me to take a look further because I might find something that is interesting. Well, all of the new phones in the glass panels are interesting, but I am not into it as for the moment. Besides my phone is still in the market and it’s not yet outdated. So, why should I change it, if my purpose is only for communication? I am just trying to be practical. Hehehe!

my long-time health goal

weight lossNowadays, weight loss is really an issue for me. Through times, I have gained weight without noticing it. I seldom deny the fact that I did gain weight by wearing lose or baggy clothes. However, once I hear comments from friends, family and even from my partner, I freaked out. Not literally, of course. Deep inside me is the sadness and eagerness to lose what I gain.

But, it is not that easy. Probably I am taking things too easy. Or I just don’t have the right dedication to lose weight. Actually I don’t have patience to wait for something that doesn’t have specific duration. Those are my excuses. Sigh! Well, I still have to check on this weight loss Austin I found earlier after my 15 minutes exercise.

The picture I found in the web is the perfect scenario of my situation. The first image is what I used to be a year ago, the second is my current size, but I am aiming for the last one, which is my size when I was 20 years old. I hope I will succeed.

See yah!

efficient gym equipment for holidays

efficient gym equipment for holidaysGoing on a holiday is often good enough reason for any of us to forget about everything and just take a couple of days away from the everyday world. But, this shouldn’t mean taking a break from a healthy lifestyle as well, since we can still take with us some fitness equipment that is both easy to fit in a suitcase and comes extremely cheap. It makes perfect sense that we can’t literally take the gym with us on holiday, or even the equipment we use at home. Still, there are at least three items that are incredibly small, cost under 11 bucks and are also extremely efficient when it comes to fighting the flab and keeping the muscles toned.

  • A jump rope, as we also said on a previous occasion, is the ideal accessory for an active girl. Being extremely portable, this improves coordination, leads to strength gain and weight loss, while also being an extremely fun and versatile workout item. There is basically no reason not to pack one in the suitcase and break it out in the hotel room or even outside, in the lobby, provided we have the guts to have a couple of people laughing at us.
  • Pedometer is next to the jump rope, since it’s cheap and efficient as well. This will motivate you to get moving – to compete against yourself and walk (or run) a little further each day. When you’re traveling, sometimes the last thing you want to do is work out – especially if you’re tired from a business trip or trying to relax and enjoy a vacation.
  • A resistance band is the third item we should pack in our luggage. They occupy very little space, come cheap and usually last for longer periods of time but the most important; resistance bands also work most muscle groups in the most efficient way. There are countless exercises that can be done with just one single resistance band and that aim to tone several groups of muscles and, come to think of it, there’s no better bargain for $10 or less.

day dreaming my sweet scape

day dreaming my sweet scapeMom and I had our conversation during her birthday where she caught me off guard. She is actually right; she is so straightforward in telling me my frustrations. Okay I might look happy, but there are things that make me unhappy. That doesn’t mean I can’t work on them. I am still young and full of hopes and energy, I just don’t have money.

Her words are like daggers that struck my heart. But, I can’t show to her that I am hurt or I might ruin her birthday. I don’t want drama to flare up in a supposedly happy day. I still act as if I am fine and laugh with my siblings as if there is nothing wrong, when I get home though that is a different story. Still I can’t cry even though I want it because I don’t want to worry hubby and create bigger problems. I just pretended that I am sleepy and lie in the bed thinking of so many things. Before emotions eat my sanity, I just day dream of beautiful things like the Anna Maria Island vacation rentals.

Anna Maria Island is considered one of the perfect vacation destination paradise located in Florida. It is known for its sugar-white coastline, emerald Gulf waters and quaint business districts. All accommodations from luxurious, grand and sophisticated, to economical, charming and quaint are available. All vacation rentals offer fully equipped kitchens and air conditioning. Many also feature private heated pools, decks, upgraded appliances, entertainment equipment and high-speed internet access. Hmmm, it’s so good to feel the warmth of the sand in my feet. But, I’m still in my bed. I’m just creating images in my mind. Hehehe!

Well, I have to end my ANNA MARIA ISLAND imagination and really go to sleep. I don’t want to think of what my mother told me earlier that day because bad things do happen in our life. But, there are a lot of good things that I can work with, which is more important.

Living in Charlottesville versus living in Staunton

Living in Charlottesville versus living in StauntonSo, you want (or perhaps) need to move to the western part of Virginia. You’re attempting to figure out where you want to live—Staunton or Charlottesville. It’s not an easy decision to make because both cities have a great deal to offer, but there are important differences that you need to be made aware of if you’re deciding between Condos Charlottesville Va and condos in Staunton. First, what is the difference in the cost of living between these two beautiful cities? The cost of living index in 2008 in Staunton was 87.2. This is below average, as the U.S. average is 100. In Charlottesville, the cost of living is at 3.89 percent, which is higher than the rest of the country, and obviously, higher than it is in Staunton. So, if this will play into your decision about where you live, then you might enjoy Staunton more.

The cities do have a quite a lot in common despite the differences in the cost of living, which is why Staunton might be the more attractive city, all things being equal. The cities are both historic regions, and in overlapping ways. Civil war history is prevalent through both regions, even though even though Charlottesville is more keen on doing civil war re-enactments and the like. Charlottesville has a fair amount of designated civil war “Trail Signs,” including Scottsville and the Rio Hill Skirmish. The famed Gen. George Armstrong Custer, leading a cavalry detachment to burn mills and destroy bridges in Charlottesville, was stopped here by Confederates. A good display describing the battle is located on the wall of Subway Sandwiches in the shopping center. At the end of the day, you really can’t go wrong no matter which of these cities you choose to live in. Since they are both historical regions, and in overlapping ways, I would personally pick Staunton simply because the city is as equally nice as Charlottsville and it costs slightly less to live there. Either way, both cities are marvelous, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy your time in either city.

my new hobby

Ever since I left my corporate job more than a year ago, my new hobby is to sleep. Having no regular day job feels like forever and it’s a bit frustrating sometimes. That is why my mattresses and I become even closer and closer together. Hahaha!

But, I have to let go of my sleeping habits more often because I have to earn money the soonest. I might starve myself. Not actually, I just feel like I am a burden to hubby. And, if he sees me sleeping a lot he might lose interest to me. If not, I might be surprised to see myself bloating and obese. So, I really have to start working.
