bringing rooms to lifeDo you feel like bringing your rooms to life without killing brain cells? Well, you can paint your room using color without chemicals. Natural and organic paints are a safe alternative to ordinary paints and can be used in virtually any situation to replace conventional emulsion and gloss paints both indoors and out. These are also made with plant oils and extracts, and simple minerals.

Natural ingredients such as curdled milk, lime, and variable pigments like coal, soot, charcoal and red from the earth’s crust give your home a cozy, beautiful allure. While, many natural paints contain very low or no VOCs (volatile organic compounds) with no toxic by-products, then natural paints make very little negative impact on the environment and on your health. A quick and easy way to check the environmental hazards of a paint product is to see if it is registered with the EPA, OSHA or DOT. When a product is registered with any of these agencies, they contain chemicals that must be monitored. Finding products that are not registered is a good sign.

Personally speaking, repainting is a great way to make a dramatic, quick, inexpensive change to a room, so regardless of whether you are renting or buying, both of you must like to repaint. A friend of mine just bought a house, so he’s been spending a lot of time trolling for natural paints and will report back soon with her favorites.
