Sleep is Health

sleep-is-healthSleep is so important to our health. Inadequacy of it has great impact to our health in which it creates hormonal imbalance responsible for cravings and increased appetite. Well, hubby and I have our good night sleep once in a while, if we get the right position during our sleep. We don’t think that we can get it all the time because of the kind of bed we have. We agreed to buy good quality bed when we will buy our own house. The question now is when will that be?

The previous night, hubby surf the web while I played some online games. He found a sleep number bed which is very interesting. Okay, actually that is the first time I heard about it. When I looked at their site, it was just the time I understand it. It is an air bed with a remote to adjust the firmness and softness level. Very interesting, indeed! Better save their site for future reference.

If given a chance

If given a chance, I would definitely love to visit New York, especially after watching a movie set in NY. I am curious what the place can offer. It’s not enough that I see the place on movie or read some articles about it. I have been hearing good things, which increases my eagerness.

Well, I really envy my pal who is a flight attendant of an international airline. She was able to go on New York City Sightseeing and other places around the globe, free of charge. Her first New York trip was last year and even after thirty two hours of continuous flight, she and other attendants tour around the city. As a result all her pictures taken shows big eye bags. She said, she doesn’t care about it as long as she can see the city. It is her chance she might not fly again in the place.

I may not be an attendant like her, but I keep a goal in me that I will see and visit other places in the globe. The right time will come, probably not now but tomorrow or the next day, or the other day. My hopes are high, hopefully it will come true. This maybe one of my daydreaming adventures. Hopefully not!

Getaway with Athlete’s foot

Basically, athlete’s foot is a fungal skin infection that is not exclusive to athletes. The fungus that causes this condition is Trichophyton thrives in areas that are moist and warm, such as the skin between our toes. It is found on floors and in socks and clothing. It breeds fast in sweaty feet inside poorly ventilated shoes or wet socks. If not treated, athlete’s foot can cause rashes and itching in other parts of the body. It is often recurring, with the fungus staying dormant under our toenails until favorable conditions revive it.

Although athlete’s foot may be just an uncomfortable nuisance to some, the resulting open sores may attract more serious infections. Because the fungus injures the skin, bacteria may attack the skin and cause an inflammation called cellulitis, a spreading bacterial infection just below the skin surface.
Athlete’s foot can be prevented if you carefully clean and dry your feet before putting on socks and shoes, and change your sweaty socks often.

  • Keep footwear thoroughly dry. Use thick cotton socks. Wear sandals or shoes made of leather or breathable material. Vinyl doesn’t breath, keeps feet moist, and allows fungus to multiply.
  • Use special medicated foot powders to keep feet dry.
  • If feet get infected, apply antifungal creams, ointments, solutions, lotions, or powder.

job availability

Last week, I bump into a site talking about job availability in the marketplace. It’s an interesting topic especially this time that more and more people are losing their job due to the recession. Every day we are bombarded with the increasing number of unemployment, people losing their homes and wealth, businesses closing down and so on. It’s so refreshing to know that there are jobs available despite all of this. In this site, I have learned that there are sales jobs vacancies for a number of people. The reality of recession tells us that the competition is stiffer than ever.

sleeping late last night

I slept late last night playing some games, checking my pages and so on. It’s around two AM before I decided to sleep. But, I still have to go down to fix myself. In the corner I have seen another box of diet tea. The helper keeps on taking in weight loss products. And now she has another brand in her cabinet. I am hoping that she will reach her goal of sexy body before she goes home this April. She put a lot of effort on this one, I hope she will succeed.

Dry Mouth? Moisturize It!

As we age, our salivary glands produce less saliva, causing dry mouth. The condition is made worse by certain medical disorders and use of drugs, such as antihistamines, decongestants, painkillers, and diuretics. Side effects of frequent dry mouth include sore throat, problem speaking and swallowing, hoarseness, and dry nasal passages. Left untreated, dry mouth can damage teeth, since saliva normally works to wash away food and neutralize the acids produced by plaque. Your dentist can recommend various methods to restore moisture. Sugar-free sweets or gums stimulate saliva flow, and products including artificial saliva and oral rinses may also help.

good thing for health society

Even though the economy is struggling nowadays, analyst said that the medical and health industry is still in need of more employees. Lucky are those people who took medical coding training courses and other health courses. They have chances of getting a job in their field. Correct me if I am wrong. I think all people have a chance of getting the work they want; just that competition is tougher this time than before.
